Joshua Dunn

Joshua Dunn started his dance training at the age of 15 in San Diego, California. He attended Coronado School of the Arts, where he received his high school diploma. During those developmental years he also trained under Emmy award winner, Tessandra Chavez, Unity 2 director Taura Hall, and received an honorable mention from the National Young Arts Foundation. Upon graduation, He was accepted into SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, class 2015. Joshua was privileged to perform works by Stephen Petronio, Shannon Gillen and Loni Landon. While attending Purchase, Joshua had the opportunity to briefly learn under the leadership of Kazuko Hirabayashi. After her passing, Doug Varone and Nelly Van Bommel became his primary composition teachers. Continuing his training, Joshua was accepted five consecutive years into SpringBoard Danse de Montreal, working within creative processes with Gabriel Forestieri , Rubbberbandance, Madboots dance co, Sylvain Émard Dance, Loud Hound Movement and Alexander Ekman.
